Griffin Environmental is a leader in the technology of the high-temperature ceramic filter. This technology was developed when the company recognized the need for a collector that would operate at temperatures higher than 500° F, which is the normal limit for a baghouse.

Although these units are custom designed, the following are details from a recently manufactured collector which performs at continuous temperatures of 1000° F. It is a jet pulse unit 11' in diameter and holds 154 ceramic filters, each three meters long. The ceramic filter elements are made in one piece from inert ceramic materials. They are 6" in diameter and come in 1 and 3 meter lengths with a recommended temperature range from 500° F (260° C) up to 1650° F (900° C). Some of their qualities include: high efficiency; acid and alkali resistance (except HF); good thermal shock resistance; fire and spark resistance.

Griffin has incorporated many unique features into the design of the high temperature collectors which will minimize thermal stress and protect the jet pulse from the extreme heat.

Some of the applications we can design for
waste incineration · boiler plants · foundry processes · fluidized beds · cement manufacturing
secondary metal smelting · glass manufacturing · chemical manufacturing · minerals processing
